I love it too! It's like: Of course, Emma doesn't have any human friends... except for *Tony.* Of course they hang out and talk about girls.

I was debating on looking up the reporter's name, but seriously, I spent half the Iron Man movie squealing about it being Brookie! And then considering whether she should make out with Pepper, or just freaking out and loudly congratulating a fictional character about the fact that she was in a movie with Gwyneth and how jealous Nicole was going to be... And then my brain exploded.
