Malingering

You know, about 10 months ago, I wrote a couple of scenes from a story where Emily is a spy, or possibly a defected ex-US spy, living in the middle east, and she meets this kid - think Draco Malfoy - who really just wants to play soccer with the local boys, so she gets him in the game and starts teaching him some arabic, and then meets his mother, Emma, who is married to a Russian oil tycoon for suspicious reasons, who flips out at her for messing around with her son, and then I ran out of steam, since I didn't actually have a plot.

I liked it though, and now that the spy stuff is canon (I suspected this from the beginning.  I have a random scene from CotR where Emily gets a phone call after her mother retires offering her her mother's old job, and Emma is very unsurprised that her mother was a spy, and is equally unimpressed with the news that they're moving to Cairo.) it might be fun to mess around with it again.  Anyone have ideas for actual plots?  Getting mixed up in democratic revolutionary protests would be... current.

Nothing to offer (spies are not my area if expertise) but the recent eps of CM make me want to write Emily into the SPN AU where she crawls out of hell and seeks vengeance on the yellow eyed demon (or any of the stupid demons/angels on the show right now) who's using Ian Doyle as a meatsuit.

Emily's hell? Is watching her team die over and over because of her and not being able to save them.

I can see that. And of course, anything with Emily providing bloody vengeance is good enough for me. :D

Semi-related query: Have you been reading the submissions for the SPN Femmeslash BigBang? Because they are everything I love about SPN fandom (i.e. the plots), and lack everything I hate about SPN fandom (i.e. too many cocks). And each of them is long enough to be a delicious meal of deliciousness, and after one I am full. And one has been podficced!

I have not. I have a hard time getting over the spelling of "femmeslash" and the fact that I don't actually LIKE most of the female characters on SPN (except Jo and Ellen). But I will check it out later and hope for some Danneel. And something short and funny. I'm too burnt out on long, angsty fic.
