I've always had this fascination with World War II, especially with how people survived occupation. While this is WWI, I find it just as riveting especially since it's an Emma/Emily fic.

I had this teacher, English Lit - which is ironic actually - who was from the Alace region. Great wines come from there but it's the people who are fascinating. Torn between two countries & two very different cultures. They are neither truly German nor truly French but a collage of both having been fought over for very long time.
