Apologies: So, I think I've forgotten how to write fanfiction. For a while there, I think I forgot why I write fanfiction. And then I was sitting there yesterday, when I should have been grading papers, just writing this (crazy) fic and enjoying myself utterly. And to be honest, I don't think the writing in this fic is brilliant. I don't like the way I handle going over a lot of the stuff that happens in episode 1, though I rewrote that a bunch of times. I'm pretty sure that I'm terrible at writing these characters. But hey, new fandom, new world, and totally heavily influenced by Chash's A Fine Job of Bending All the Rules which, if you haven't read, READ IT.

Warnings: Spoilers for Victorious Pilot. Also, this is a Knotting world - because knotting is hilarious and kind of gross - so be prepared. And... maybe a touch of gender politics.

I've been so good this year. I wrote like NO fic, and instead spent all my sneaky writing time working on a novel (which, okay, is kind of an über Emma/Emily fic, just with Too Much worldbuilding). I did, however, end up encountering a bunch of new fandoms that I was ONLY going to participate in as a reader. Ah, well, the best of intentions. And Tumblr... (Which I'm not even ON!)

Mmm, Faberry. I feel kind of proprietary over the Faberry ship, since I was there for the naming of the pairing, and since I wrote an article on how FPNs are formed, which is supposed to be being published (though I worry that it has gotten abandoned at some sad stage of production), I am very supportive of this effort. Although even fic writers have a really hard time making Rachel actually likable. :/ I got converted to Quinntana at some point, and it is still my ideal ship out of that crazy fleet.

OH! That was written for me?! Aww, you spoil me! I loved it! And you write Selene and Cordelia SO much better than I do! OMG! They were so spot on! It gives me so many feels about Mistress Selene and Cordelia, her apprentice slut! XD

I think my favorite Quinntana fic is "A Day Late and a Dollar Short" by oatis on AO3. It's probably because it reminds me a bit of your fics in the sense that it has that requisite amount of angst before the couple becomes established.

And I can't stop gushing over this Jori fic of yours! Naughty thoughts keep going through my head every time the subject of knotting comes up. I have this pleasant image of some male alphas giving Jade a hard time because she "settled" for a freaky, female alpha, but she snaps back with a quip about Tori's knot being larger than the heads on their shoulders. (I have it in personal canon where it's the size of a small cantaloupe maybe? I have this thing where the most unassuming and dorky characters are somehow blessed in ways their colleagues wish they were. Lol.) Meanwhile, Tori's just looking all sorts of comically horrified with her personal business just being put out there by her omega mate.

I'm kinda craving fruits now, but whatever.

All this talk of knotting makes me want to include it in my dragon fics though. Then, my dragons would have curved, ridged appendages with knots at the base! :D Then again, they already have that cum plug thing going on to help with impregnation. Whaddya think? Overkill maybe? Worse comes to worse, it would make for nice optional kink when sexy times are happening.

Who else was I going to write Selene/Cordelia for? :) And somehow, in that world I felt like it was totally plausible. Emily was still feeling out her sexuality. But Cordelia tops from the bottom. She can handle Selene.

This is the fic that converted me to Quinntana - it's all characterization really, and angst.

Oh man, I think you're going to be disappointed with where I'm going with the knotting, but Jade would totally say that, regardless of it's accuracy. And I'm glad that I don't like cantaloupe anyway, because I will NEVER be able to eat it again. Jeez.

And yes, knotting in your dragon fics is totally overkill. What you need in your dragon fics is more plot. :) However.... shapeshifters. I think you could manage knotting without any real revision of the system. But dragons are reptiles. You may just need to start a werewolf world to satisfy this particular desire. Biological coherence!!! It's important! (Why do you think my mermaids ended up being half dolphin?)

I don't know. You could've written it for yourself to satisfy your need for more Selene/Cordelia smut since I haven't been putting them out for you in awhile. :P I need to make you captain of the Selene/Cordelia ship because you've definitely got a better feel for this than I do!

No, dude, it's cool! My mind just automatically goes places when I think about biological kinks like that, so it's all good! And LOL at the cantaloupe! XD I have successfully corrupted your some part of your mind with that mental image; my job is done!

Well, considering how long my dragon fic has been a WIP, I'm beginning to think that I'm just more suited to writing smutty, PWP one-shots. :/ I'm sure that it will eventually be finished, but for the most part, I think you can just expect to get dragon smut from me for the most part. Disappointing, I know. :P

As for a knotting world, I think I might redo my Underground fic with Selene/Cordelia as werewolves. I mean, I'm already changing around Selene's past a bit in my dragon fic. Behold the Devil Queen, the Insane Monarch, and the Dragon of Nightmare and Ruin: Selene Gallio. X3 If I get done with your present sooner than expected, I might show you a snippet of her redone past.
