I really tried to study. I did. I opened my book, I started to read, I repeated it out loud and when I finished the boring chapter (one down, seven to go) I thought I deserved a break (which I really don't).
And I'm here again. And things are starting to be even more interesting! (way more interesting of Prenatal Kidney Development, but that's not a hard feat.)
I really love your style and the way your characters say more when they don't talk at all.
The dialogues are light-hearted and amusing on the surface, but all the rest... it actually makes me want to cry.
“Me? I never met her.” Emma’s voice echoed across the hallway. “I brought her tragically orphaned daughter.”
That's so Emma!
In that way they were the same. Bullheadedly charging into their callings. Disregarding their knowledge of the world that told them it was futile. You couldn’t change the world, and yet, every little thing you did changed the world in some way.
Loved this line.
This fic left me with a smile and a pang in my heart at the same time. And the temptation to read it again. Tomorrow. :P
