Bad Shojo Comics

Sent my drafts of novel to my first readers, and then decided to spend the next two days making a cover, which is terrible, but amuses me. It has pretty colors, even if half dead markers are the worst things ever for scanning.


I have just noticed however that it manages to put the main character entirely in the background.  It does suggest which characters I am actually interested in though.  Hmmm, it looks nicer small.

Oh thank you ever so much for the guilt trip.  :p
Again with me and the starting things but not finishing them, so I will continue to not give people what they want, nor what they are interested in, and instead: more pics from the novel-in-editing-stages. (Unless you really want a taste of my paper on scope positions in WH clauses?  No? Well then...)

 I have a map!



Again, with the no one at all caring, but a map!  Not that it is an accurate map, but, you know, generally evocative of the landscape.

I am nearing the climax of the story, which is always a nerve wracking event, whatever I'm writing.  But this is just making it work.  Yesterday I was terrified of writing this one scene where my villain(?) gets her say, and I had to convince myself that the insinuations of lesbian incest was indeed all in my head, and was not obvious to everyone else.  This is something that I will need an outside opinion on.
If Sailor Moon taught me anything, it taught me that calling them cousins only makes the romantic notions worse.

Now I have to go write about the death of a squirrel.  :(

 Yay!  X-men has its own sexy new page on P&P!  (Really, that header is awesome.)  And Emily's Notebooks is up!  In its beautifully embarrassing completeness.  There is something rather coy about the length of an LJ post that you lose when you have the whole things just sitting there with bolded chapter headings.  Why is my own writing so embarrassing to me?

My drawing is generally worse, but whatever.  This post should take up more space, and thus City on the River inspired doodlings again.  (I totally drew the picture of Emma as a stripper in my Syntax notebook and now, when I'm hunting for PredP or whatever it ALWAYS opens to that page!)



Eventually I will suck less at photoshop.  Not yet though.

And ralst has said that she's going to start hosting podfics!  I love podfics!  They are the best thing since... um, lightboxes (this made sense in my head).  Sooo, people with good reading voices and recording equipment... Please?  Supernatural Fanfic is perfectly fine but not every podfic should be boyslash.
