Apologia: So, very very slowly, I seem to be working my way through the requests I got at the end of last summer.  I don't expect this story to go very quickly, because a. it's nuts, and b. so is my life, but hey, I enjoyed messing around with it, and if I get encouragement (and ideas) I'll probably get to the next bit faster.  
And, oh, I illustrated it.  I know I draw like crap, but really?  I couldn't not.
I think I'm just going to keep this on my journal for a while, until I have a bit more stuff to put up.  But If you're one of the 3 people who actually looks at my journal, I hope you don't hate it utterly.

Prompt: Seriously, Vampires or Mermaids? Mermaids, definitely.
Apologies: This probably could be better, but as I need to focus on the paper from hell now, I am going to mark this finished. I probably shouldn't have let my babysitting charges help with the plot, but they wanted to. I also wrote nearly all of this while babysitting, which may account for quality. (I have illustrations by the 7 year old!) (I may have to play this story with Barbies on Thursday. We got them all dressed for it today. I believe the sex will be excised. If so, I'm not totally sure what's left. O.o)
Notes:
Mermaids are mammals. They have mammaries, they thus must be mammals. And my mermaids are generally dolphin based. I.e. dorsal fins and prehensile labia included. And gatling torpedo guns, duh. The society that they live in is also dolphin based, except for the parts that are bad detective story based.
