I'm afraid you have to leave things like chronology and narrative logic behind when reading it, but it's all the better for it. To understand the concept... Consider a Law and Order SVU crossover with The Gilmore Girls in which Alex Cabot goes to Stars Hollow for witness protection. Now consider an AU of this story in which Lorelai chose not to have Rory and instead Alex had a baby at 16, this baby is AJ *Now* return to the canon L&O and GG universes, and consider what would happen if AJ appeared mysteriously in ADA Alexandra Cabot's closet. That is Quantum!AJ
That is also why I'm writing this story at all. I would have never considered giving Emily a quantum!toddler on my own. I'm not sure if i should tell you to read it, because it's better than mine, and i'm competitive like that, but it's so good that it would be selfish.
So it really doesn't have anything to do with the story except as inspiration and um, slavish imitation.
I'm glad you liked it. I tried to make that transition believable, but i wasn't sure if i did. Thank you for saying I did!
(Why is everyone so afraid of Didi? Her megalomaniacal tendencies are purely normal for that age group.)
