Yay! Another part, and so soon too. I like how you've created a sense of school life continuing and then being interrupted by Emily and Didi, rather than having Emma sit in her office for hours waiting for something to happen, and X-23 sounds like an interesting character. I'm also impressed with how you've slipped in little lines that help piece together an image of their on-and-off relationship from the last 3 years, such as Ororo's thoughts on how they're fated to make each other miserable, Emma wondering whether she ever goes beyond mildly amusing Emily, and of course her desperation for stability and warmth from Emily. Didi's fear of Jean is amusing, and I love Emily getting Scott to shut up. I'm really looking forward to either Fake Empire 5 or the sequel to 9 Crimes.
