Urgh, I'm so sorry, because I meant to wish you a happy birthday and bomb you with Emma links, and then life caught up and conked me over the head and threw me into a closet for over a week, and now it's a very belated Happy Birthday wish and no links and I feel so bad about it... maybe the only good thing is that no one has replied to this, so it might be the start of a birthday present.

Best Story: Hard debate between Time Machines and the Lovlelace Protocol. In the end, I'll have to go with Lovelace Protocol. It offers a fascinating new version of Emma and Emily, with very different dynamics than usual, and so much potential for worldbuilding and sexiness (steampunk is often Victorian, so all those fun clothes and pervertedness...). Emma being a rogue triple agent, and probably having to deal with Captain Emily... it just offers so much.

Most Fun: I think What Happened in Vegas Timestamps. It was brilliant, combining the best of confused Emily, stunned JJ, and sexually indifferent (to certain people) Emma. It was short but excellent, offering a perfect cap for a great fic which was somewhat lacking in the ending.

Most Disappointing: Definitely not Demons. I'm going with Jill the Vampire Slayer, but it's personal. It was a great fic, but I just don't know the fandoms or characters, so it was very confusing to me. Your description of it above made me even more confused and feeling like I missed out on something great, so, yeah.

Most Sexy: The Epilogue of Demons put up a good fight, but frankly, there were sadly very few contenders this year, and so the only full sex scene wins (though it also stands by its own merit, it was very good if highly disturbing), the Beef Jerky Incident. (Caveat: The first part of Rhiannon should have won, but since it's a rewrite, I didn't feel right in putting it in the running)

Most Unintentionally Telling?: Despite what you think, The Beef Jerky Incident does not make you horrible in my eyes. We all have out kinks, you know. I think the most unintentionally telling was The Arrangement, because it was not only very revealing of Emma and Emily's characters and how they can really clash, but also of how you see their relationship and characters, and how you imagine their lives could be if they don't come to an accord. Though I think honorable mentions go to part 2 of Rhiannon and City on the River.

Anyway, a great year, I hope to see more soon (and have time to comment on them - I hope to get to Victorious timestamps tonight or tomorrow). All best (belated) wishes for your birthday and the new year.
