Don't worry too much. If i don't make it that far, i'll be sure to end it solidly somewhere else. (that's why i'm breaking it up into volumes. I have a climax and ending for this section all planned, so hopefully it won't just drag on and on for twelve more years.)
I can't say i have any idea who the Emma is based on. it's some artist's rendering (although i always thought she had an odd resemblence to Jewel Staite)
