I'm so glad they're back in the same room too. I have like twelve pages of them arguing that I had to cut down, which is so much more fun than silent angsting.
Yay for the big reveal! I did manage to kill off most of Emily's family (repeatedly), so all we have left is the Frosts. If I mention that the next installment is tentatively titled Asylum, will this give you any hints?
We're also running into a lot of elements of my personal canon here. Part one being Winston's mutant powers. More on that in the next bit. :) But do you know how difficult it is to try and figure out how and when Emma got involved with the Hellfire Club? There are like three wildly different versions of it! None of which make any sense.
(I also love how in the 'new' version she leaves home at sixteen then is homeless and working for a year and then goes to college. WTF? Graduating high school, anyone? If she actually was good at using her powers yet, fine, but she's not. Bangs head against table.)
I had to write her history out in clear and logical prose before i could even start working on this chapter.
