I was beginning to miss reading 'Fake Empire'. I suspect that I'll miss 'Emily's Notebooks' soon enough, however.
I love how you continually manage to convey Emma's playful aloofness and vulnerability. It shows our favorite telepath's many sides while also displaying there's simply more to her than what others, even her colleagues, may believe.
Emily turned in her arms and looked back towards the thankfully still-sleeping girl. She snorted. “That took forethought and planning. It wasn’t just…” She looked back and made a face. “You know.”
Emma grinned enigmatically. “I don’t know. If it happened like I think it did…”
*swoons* I love that line~ <3 Oh, Emma~~ Apparently, even with her counterpart's younger age and inexperience, their thought processes in certain aspects are clearly the same! X3
