Dude, I've been missing your fics like crazy this month!
Classes ended for me like three weeks ago, but I've been working non-stop since I got this stint as president (which still feels so surreal). I'm doing a leadership program (which is actually sponsored by my honor society! How cool is that?) over the summer as well as a supplementary one that was introduced just this year. Then, I've been preparing to head off to this officer training retreat with my chapter officer team and advisors. That should be interesting by itself since there's such an interesting mix of personalities this year for our team.
Then, to top things off, I'm doing a collaboration on a Twilight fic, featuring a very rare femslash pairing (hm, who does that remind me of, I wonder? X3), and I actually surprised myself by planning out a Twilight fic that's been on the back of my mind for months now! It's still strictly AU femslash though since I excel in that more than anything else right now. *snorts*
Needless to say, with all that's been going on, I've been craving your fics like I need air! I mean, you should've seen how pitiful I was by checking out your LJ everyday for the past two weeks alone, waiting for an update! I ended up just reading through most of your index of Emma/Emily fics because I needed my fix so badly!
Uh, anyway, let me get to actually reviewing this before I go off on a tangent and never come back. Lol.
So this was the spy idea that you had in the works! Speaking of, kudos to you for calling it on Emily's canon background that was revealed this season on the show! Very impressive! It's like you're a telepath or something! Or a precog maybe? Lol!
Well, anyway, I think Emily/Pietro is definitely a first for the internet! Congrats on breaking its virginity for that! Lol!
Ah, but in all seriousness, I didn't mind the pairing too much. I mean, there were hardly any sex scenes between them that were really detailed, but even if there were, the fic was so well-written and it flowed so easily that it honestly didn't bother me. It's actually a very rare occasion that I'll read het, but if you were writing it, I know that I'd be waiting with bated breath!
And Emma's a nun in this? ROFL! God, that's just amusing on so many levels! Ah, but I still liked how she managed to keep that very distinct personality of hers that makes her so, well, Emma. I really liked that you emphasized how much she cares about her kids in this world like she would in the canon one, too.
Speaking of kids, my heart really went out to the ones that Emma took in. As sad as it is, I've no doubt that's what tends to occur in wars. They're one orphan down now, but I can't help but hope that they'll make it out in the end.
And Emily thinking Emma to be Lucifer... Hm. Not gonna lie: that's inspiring another AU fic idea of sorts for me! You're such a constant inspiration for me! XP
You're mind-blowingly amazing, and I can't wait to read more from you about this world!
P.S. - Let me see if I can get the first chapter of my dragon fic out to you in like two weeks. I think I might just have to start off from the beginning with Selene and divide the whole thing into three different sagas. Or I might just make some very decisive events into supplementary fics for viewers to read as part of that world. I might have to stick with the former since everything is becoming so very intricate, and it's like a "You have to understand this if you want to understand that" type of deal.
Uh, but do you have a preference either way? If I stick to that idea, you're going to end up doing a lot of reading/betaing by the time my fic gets finished! Lol!
