FYI & Requests Round!

So, the main reason I've been totally AWOL, even though it's *summer* and I totally should be available and full of fic, is because I've been working really hard on another original project. I have been working my ass off! I have 60,000 words already. If this was NaNoWriMo, i would have won. But I am not done yet. I am at the denouement, maybe 6000 words or so left? And then i will be like okay, find beta readers, begin editing process, and *relax.* And 'relax' means fic, so I really hope that very soon I will not be writing 4000 words (about princesses) a day, and will in fact, be able to produce some fic.
Stay strong!
And meanwhile, let's have a requests round. Anyone who bothers to check this journal while it is languishing in disuse, tell me a story you want me to continue, or an idea that you think would be cool, or something that you're really mad at me for forgetting about and blowing off, and let me know.
I will do my best!

"Oh lord," the fey man in the perfectly pressed suit jacket said, looking grim as Emily exited the elevator. "It's you again."
Emily glared back. "She called and said to meet her here. We're supposed to be going out tonight."
"You were supposed to be going out the last time too. As I recall, you went to breakfast." He grimaced. "I had to get the cleaning people to come in special, and pay extra, since apparently they had tried to tidy up the night before, but were scared off by the sounds of wild animals coming from inside."
"Then you need to do something about that mini-dungeon she had built into the sides of her filing cabinets, seriously!"
The man rolled his eyes and pressed a button on his octopoidal phone. "Your fuck-o'clock is here," he said dryly. "And I'm going to get coffee and sit at the Starbucks across the street until I see you come out the front door."
"Send her in," was the amused response, and Emily sighed. "And you can go home early. I'll forgive you."
The assistant rolled his eyes and looped his Barneys scarf around his neck. He moved towards the elevator, but paused and glanced back at Emily. "Don't get me wrong," he said. "I'm really grateful you're banging her regularly. It makes her much more pleasant to work for. I just don't need to sit here and remember those little moan-pants that my boss makes right before she comes, because that's the sort of thought process that gets one fired."
He pranced off and Emily opened the door and stepped into Emma's office. She was on the phone, her chair pushed back from the desk, her expression bored and half-annoyed. When she saw Emily she grinned briefly, held up two fingers for the number of minutes it would take, and then rolled her eyes and snapped back at the person on the phone.
Emily stood in the doorway and watched her. Business suit with a skirt, shirt rumpled, jacket off and slung over a chair. The tops of her thigh-high nylons were visible where the skirt rode up. Her hair, perfectly coiffed in the morning, was beginning to come undone and a few strands drooped down in the back, one going so far as to coil on her neck.
Their eyes met. Emma's gaze was intent, and her smile was that self-satisfied lazy one that she always got when undressing Emily with her thoughts alone. Emily stepped forward and dropped to her knees between Emma's legs. She parted them and leaned in, pressing her mouth to the inside of Emma's thigh.
For her, at least, remembering those little moan-pants that Emma made right before she came wasn't going to get her fired. Arrested, maybe, if anything like the fountain incident happened again, but not fired... At least not yet.

Date: 2011-07-04 06:50 pm (UTC)Lol! I was hoping you would enjoy the remix idea! I love the way you write angst, and with Emma/Emily, you can always expect sleaziness to take one form or another! And you wrote a snippet about this, too?! My god, the curiosity is killing me! I wanna see!
Eh, I can always take a crack at this one, but I doubt I could write it with the sheer skill that you so clearly possess. :) I tend to be more detail-oriented with my writing, and you've got a knack for condensing scenes into a few lines and still making them flow very effortlessly.
But, um, I do have a few drabble ideas for the remix. I doubt that they'd take up much more than a page or two though. As for making it a full-length fic, well, you know how RL tends to delay the releasing of such things, right? I mean, I've got a good idea of the prologue and some of the later interaction when Emma and Emily finally meet again, but it's the in-between and actually putting it all into great scenes that I'm having trouble with.
Then, I keep wondering how I'm going to deal with the kid's personality. Since she's grown up with Emily, I doubt she's going to have the same attitude as Emma like with Didi. However, if she had another pseudo-parent, who was helping Emily raise her... Hm. This could be interesting.
Moving on though. As I've said above, I really enjoyed this little snippet! I know I pretty much bombarded you with requests, so thanks so much for taking one of them and showing interest in another!
Emma really does strike me as a rather difficult person to work for, especially if she was deprived of sex regularly if Emily weren't there. *snickers* She'd probably terrorize the staff in her subtle (or maybe not so subtle) ways, but I can see her just doing that for fun, too. If her interactions with JJ are any indication, she likes getting under people's skins.
Excellent job on Emma's assistant, by the way! I can practically see him in all his flamboyant light! And I loved the dialogue! I think it's great that you've portrayed him as not being terrified of Emma, and he actually seems comfortable with being bold and familiar with her. Of course, he knows not to push it too far. He seems to like having his job, after all!
Oh. My. God! The mini-dungeon of toys in the sides of the filing cabinets amuses me more than you could possibly know! XD I'm kinda interested int this fountain incident that was mentioned at the end though. Did I miss something in a previous fic, or is this something entirely new that we'll hear about later like the "My Little Pony" incident with Logan? Lol!
Great stuff!
